All infants should have a daily oral cleaning. Using a soft, damp cloth, gently wipe your baby’s gums to remove any lingering formula or milk and prevent bacteria buildup.
Primary teeth begin to erupt through the gum line at about 6 months of age and continue to gradually appear until about age 3. As soon as they teeth begin to emerge from the gums, you should begin using a soft-bristle baby toothbrush to clean your infant’s teeth. Use a tiny smear of child-safe toothpaste for your child. After the age of 3, use a pea-sized amount of fluoridated toothpaste to clean their teeth. You should clean your child’s teeth at least twice a day.
We advise brushing your kid's teeth with the floss until he is 7 years old when his motor skills are sufficiently developed so that he can brush his teeth on his own.
Don't give your baby a bottle of juice or other sweetened liquids. At the age of about 1 year, it is advisable to transfer the child from the bottle to a baking or straw cup. This will prevent him from early tooth decay.
During teething, the baby’s mouth can become painful. You can help him feel comfier by providing a cooled ring of teeth and gently rubbing the gums with a cold washcloth before and after every meal.
When you notice teething, please schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists for the first meeting. Our doctors will guide you on early dental care for infants.

Water and a lot of foods contain a mineral called Fluoride. Your kid can get a certain amount of this mineral from his diet and from fluoride toothpaste. But we recommend a fluoride treatment to strengthen your child's teeth and avoid tooth decay.
Fluoride assists in strengthening teeth and protects teeth from decay. When your child eats and drinks during the day, bacteria, sugars, and acids constantly attack and demineralize the tooth enamel.

Does your child ever get nervous about visiting a dental clinic? Is the upcoming treatment make him feel anxious? If so, we can provide sedation of nitrous oxide. This special gas is also known as laughing gas. It is inhaled through a nose mask during the treatment procedure. When your child inhales nitrous oxide mixed with oxygen, he experiences a relaxed euphoric sensation. The gas will help him feel relaxed and at ease throughout the treatment. The sedation of nitrous oxide is safe for your child's health. The effect will disappear a few minutes after removing the mask from the nose, and your child quickly feels good.
Nitrous oxide is a great choice for those who suffer from dental anxiety. If your kid worries, because of dental treatment he has never experienced before, or he just doesn’t like the sounds and looks of the dental clinic, we can provide nitrous oxide to make him feel comfortable and relaxed. Be sure to discuss your issues with our children's dentist prior to the appointment. You are free to contact us and learn more!
Pulpotomy is an endodontic procedure that is most commonly used on baby teeth. When tooth decay or damage reaches the pulp of the tooth, which is the innermost layer of the tooth, you often experience pain and tooth sensitivity. If left untreated, the tooth is likely to have an abscess and ultimately require further treatment or removal. To prevent this, our expert doctors recommend pulpotomy treatment. While this treatment, a dentist will remove the decay and the pulp chamber. The area will be sterilized, but the dental nerves will not be removed or. Sometimes dentists don't remove all dental pulp, keeping the viability of the remaining healthy pulp.
In these situations, we commonly use a therapeutic bandage to maintain a healthy pulp. After removal of the destroyed pulp and cleaning of the tooth, the tooth needs a dental crown. We usually recommend stainless steel crowns.
Although pulpotomy is rarely advised for adults, this treatment can be recommended if rot has reached the pulp, but the major area of the pulp is still healthy. If the tooth roots have not yet been formed, a partial pulpotomy may give the tooth an opportunity to complete the formation.

Our specialists are committed to keeping your kid's smile healthy and attractive. We can offer a few kinds of mouth guards for young athletic patients. We recommend a sports guard, also called a mouth guard. Sports guards can be put on their teeth while playing sports or taking part in some sports events or competitions to protect a smile from injury. Sports guards are recommended for such kinds of sports like boxing, wrestling, football, volleyball, hockey, and rugby. So if your child is a young athlete, a sports guard is the best choice to protect his smile.
While several kinds of sports mouth guards are available, a tailor-made mouth guard is the most effective smile protection tool. It is specially designed to fit comfortably and prevent teeth from damage. A sports guard can also help prevent damage to the soft tissues of the mouth, including the tongue, cheeks, lips, and gums.
Please contact us to learn more about sports guards and their advantages.
In certain cases, the tooth requires removal, which is called tooth extraction. Though we do everything possible to remain the tooth, there are such situations, when tooth extraction is the only right and effective decision to return the patient's smile to good health and functioning. Regardless of whether the tooth is primary or secondary, we can help your child feel more comfortable during and after tooth extraction.
Several conditions may require tooth extraction. Here are some of them:
— Severe infection that has destroyed a large part of the tooth and the supporting bone structure
— Serious decay that has damaged a tooth beyond repair, making a successful restoration impossible— Crowding caused by too many teeth to properly fit in the mouth
All our dentists are highly trained and experienced. They can easily extract your child's tooth in no time and as pain-free as possible. They will also instruct you on the after treatment to properly care for your mouth while the healing process.
